Topic: In cooperation with the Bureau of Reclamation, the Washington State Department of Ecology, and the Yakama Nation, the U.S. Geological Survey conducted a study of the groundwater system in the Yakima River Basin and how it interacts with rivers and streams in the basin. The study included data collection, mapping of hydrogeologic units and ground-water levels, and a computer model to bring together all the information. USGS scientists will summarize accomplished work, describe the computer model, and present results from the model. More information on the study: http://wa.water.usgs.gov/projects/yakimagw/
