The USGS operates reservoir and streamflow gages for Other Federal Agencies (OFA) for their needs in the planning and operation of water-resources projects, such as with the US Army Corps of Engineers at Mud Mountain Dam, pictured above. This fiscal year, the list of federal agencies includes agencies from the Departments of Agriculture, Defense, Commerce, Energy, Interior, and State, along with the Environmental Protection Agency, Agency for International Development and NASA.

In this fiscal year this program funds data collection at about 40 sites throughout the state for a diversity of data needs, such as stage and streamflow, water quality, meteorological and snow data, and real-time telemetry at stations.
